Tranport logging is a helpful Outlook feature which can assist you when troubleshooting delivery or sync issues between Outlook and the Exchange Server cluster.
However, if you're using multiple devices on your mailbox and you're using Exchange Cached Mode (which is the only mode we support), you can sometimes experience sync issues. But not everyone wants to know each and every time there's been a minor issue, so here's how to enable or disable Transport Logging in Outlook 2013.
TO ENABLE TRANSPORT LOGGING (helpful for debugging and troubleshooting)
- On the File tab, click Options
- In the Outlook Options dialog box, click Advanced
- In the Other section, tick the Enable troubleshooting logging check box, then click OK
- Exit and restart Outlook
TO DISABLE TRANSPORT LOGGING (stop receiving the sync error logs)
- On the File tab, click Options
- In the Outlook Options dialog box, click Advanced
- In the Other section, untick the Enable troubleshooting logging check box, then click OK
- Exit and restart Outlook
